(its legal to record someone on the phone in Arizona before anyone asks)

As much as you DON'T want to report a minor accident because it'll be on your Car Fax forever it's now been 7 days and thats way to long to NOT report it (if you plan to). Most Insurance Company's have a time line for you to report an accident and you should ALWAYS get a police report. Even if your original plan was for him to pay and you to not report it you still should have called the police to protect yourself.

NO ONE hits a friends car and doesn't say something, when you called and he admitted hitting it you should have had a check in your hand the next day or went through Insurance end of story....

It kills me to see pics like this but man you need to move on this NOW (before it's to late)

No news is good news. Car must be in the shop getting repaired. If not done already!

THE FACT that you still call them friends is this post is just crazy to me... lets say you did not figure out who did this... do you really think they would have bought you a nre bumper or told you about it.... a real friend would have got out of there car rang your bell and said i hit your car..... thats why sometimes you need to hang with people in the same tax bracket as you... good luck i hope it all works out for you.... again they are not friends run

Hey guys sorry for not updating sooner.

I am actually going to drop off my car this morning in an hour to the shop.

Ended up that he finally reported it to his insurance and made the claim.

Everyone here is 100% right no "friend" would have pulled some shady crap like this after hitting my car. You guys are 100% right on that.

We haven't hung out with them since and it's been like radio silence since all this happened with them.

I personally don't care if I ever see them again or not. It sucks to know that this will now be on my car fax and hurt the over all value of my car. I'm also a little nervous that the car will not be the same after :(

Well you live and you learn I guess?

I will def not be parking anywhere but our garage from now on when space allows it.

This has been a nightmare and a Learning exp all in one.

Good on you, move on... you don't need these type of people in your life.

This car fax report shouldn’t hurt your value. It’s not a end over end ditch roll. You had minor body damage easily repaired. But the friend fax report should read major douche bag needing serious scrupulous adjustment and fractured knee repaired.
