Exactly, no requirement to provide notice to insurance or your bank. Unless I missed it. If so let me know.

So where does it say that you have to send a copy to your insurance company or bank? I sure don't. I think you are reading it wrong.
I have the same letter.

Your right, it doesn't say anything about your insurance company. I thought it was on this form but must of been on something else, sorry.
Just the Lender/bank should get a copy of it. If I find the other paper I'll post it, may have been from my insurance company?
I don't know why they would need one.

The only thing my lender needs is my monthly car payment.

It doesn't say anything about the lender or bank either getting a copy. It is talking about if you leased your car and the people you leased it from got the recall letter, the lessor (the person you leased the car from) has to notify the person who leased the car. Not the other way around.

I bought my Camaro brand new in my name, not a lease.
I get letters every week from dealers wanting to buy it back for 120% over the blue book value, they even offered me $10K to put towards a new one, I already put $10K into mine with mods, and still didn't do any internal engine mods yet.
They really want the 2010 Camaro's bad!
But I'm sure everyone is getting the letters from dealer's to buy their Camaro's back though.
Probably because I wanted to lease a car to drive to keep the miles down on mine, and NOT drive my Camaro in the winter months, at least when there's no snow or salt on the roads.
But I plan on keeping mine, it's almost paid off now. I guess if you decide to sign the waiver you need to contact your insurance co.? I'm not sure where I read it.
If I find it I'll post it.

I got both the recall letter and a dealership buy back offer yesterday, so tempted to upgrade to 14 1le. Must not, cannot, must be strong!

I know, I almost traded mine in and bought a ZL1, but a little too much out of my price range at the time, it was a hard decision!

I wasn't a saying you leased your car but just saying the only thing the recall letter stated was if you leased your car and the leasing company got the recall letter that they had 10 days to inform the person that leased the car.
That was the only statement in the recall letter that said anything about informing anyone.

I think the insurance deal was posted in a thread on here and was just a letter a sent out by his agent and not the official company stance. I did ask mine and they said it wouldn't make any difference to them.

Key recall leaves fob looking as if it were broken

Just took delivery of my 2014 SS and the recall had been done and it makes the FOB appear as if it the key had broken off. I hope a new fob is in Chevy's future recall upgrade to replace what I feel is a half ass fix

Got my letter for the Camaro yesterday, along with a 2nd letter on the window switch recall on our trailblazer.. we had that fixed 6 months ago, apparently they like wasting paper.

Both went into the trashcan.
