Borla ATAK

Curious if anyone has put the Borla ATAK exhausts on an SS without headers, if so did you like the results?

Same answer as above. I also had the resonator removed as I have the L99. Love the sound while cruising and at WOT.

It's louder at WOT then most catbacks I have heard. I loved it.. and then I added some kooks headers.. my neighbors use it as a wake up alarm when I leave for work in the AM.

Yeah one person at the shop installed it in less then an hour. Though I'm having issues with a thump sound. Like the pipes hit in certain bumps in the road. We had an issue with the plate in the middle

Worth every penny. The only other bolt-on I have is an intake.

Just a quick 37 second video of start up and a couple of revs.

My ATAK axle backs are sitting on a shelf in the garage. I had them installed with a Summit Racing X-Pipe and they sounded great once the RPM was past the rasp range.

Exhaust History:
-Stock (No Rasp)
-Axle Back Muffler Delete (No Rasp)
-Straight Pipes w/X-Pipe (RASP!!!)
-Borla ATAK w/X-Pipe (RASP!!!)
-BBK Headers w/High Flow Cats, Borla ATAK w/X-Pipe (RASP!!!)
-BBK Headers w/High Flow Cats, Dynomax 3" Exhaust w/X-Pipe (RASP!!!)

I just ordered an ATAK axle-back system for my L99 SS. I'm hoping, even though it's only mufflers, it will still be loud enough for me. Anything should be louder than those ridiculously quiet stock mufflers. Gonna install them in a couple of days....

Had them installed first without headers and it had a better sound but not as deep as other exhausts. Exhaust is quiet during normal driving once it gets up to temp and the sound is unleashed during WOT. Once the headers are installed, take that sound and triple it. Still quiet during normal driving but any WOT get ready to echo the area around you. It surprises a lot of people to that don't expect it.
