76RWHP/75RWTQ GAINS WITH YOUR L99!!!
We are at it again, testing parts, and developing PROVEN packages to bring to you guys.
We just finished another build and documentation to put towards our proven power packages and we were really pleased with the gains, drivability, reliability and quality of how this came together. We picked up peak gains of 60rwhp at 5500rpm and 70rwtq at 4600rpm but the biggest overall gains were 76rwhp and 75rwtq. The mod list includes: Kooks Long Tube Headers w/ Catted Pipes MBRP L99 Specific Catback Airaid Cold Air Intake Torq Custom Dyno tune with SCT Last edited by Meister@Torq; 03-22-2010 at 11:19 AM. |

Did you retain the vvt?
What are the cam specs? Did you replace the 4 lifters, and if you didn't do you think they'll last? What kind of cam phaser did you use ? Thanks and sorry for the questions but this vvt stuff is new to me.

I like the gains on the dyno but your base numbers are a little low even for an L99. What do you think the cause of that is? How many base runs did you make and what were the differences in conditions from stock to modded? I guess they aren't super low I'm just curious. |

We have a eddy current loading dyno, which means numbers will be lower than what you see on on a dynojet....this is why we advertise the GAINS because gains are gains and every dyno can be a bit different.
This package uses the STOCK camshaft and we tune the VVT to make some low end and mid range power. Our cylinder head and cam package, which deletes the VVT and DOD is worth another 100+rwhp and 45+ rwtq over this package |
