Exhaust for my setup

I just got my car from lethal performance in San Antonio and to say the least I'm very happy with the way my car performs. The guys at lethal performance installed a maggie with 1 7/8" ARH, high flow cats and we kept the stock axle back exhaust. My only problem is that I'm getting a lot of drone, I'm guessing is the stock exhaust. What exhaust do you guys recommend I get that will help me get rid of the dreadful drone without restricting airflow?
Thanks
Carlos

The LS3 stock exhaust is a pretty much straight through setup. so if you think it has drone. more than likely adding a aftermarket exhaust will only make it worst.

I only kept the stock exhaust form the rear axle to the exhaust tips...

the mufflers of the stock exhaust is a straight pipe, it shouldn't be hard to find one cut open on here

thanks for the info...

so a straight pipe will minimize drone? I was thinking of maybe getting the corsa axle back exhaust... I get it a lot of it when ever I down shift before a red light, what I've been doing is getting on the clutch or putting the car in neutral, instead of down shifting, and the drone goes away...

I've been doing some research about the drone problem and I'm not sure my car has this problem. My car makes popping like sounds whenever I downshift and use the engine to slow down. I had the problem since I bought the car but the issue got worse when I installed the headers, high flow cats, maggie, among other things. So what I'm looking for is for an axle back exhaust that can tone this problem down.

thanks!!!

I think if it is factory axleback you're only going to make it worse also.. what midpipe do you have? is it the ARH X pipe? or is that stock as well?

I had a similar setup .....

ARH 2" LTs, HF cats, x-pipe, and stock mufflers. I didn't have any drone at all. It was really quiet at idle and sounded great at WOT.

However one of the stock mufflers started to do this buzzing/rattling sound at ~1800 RPMs that drove me crazy (loose baffle I think). So yesterday, I removed the mufflers to see how it sounded without them (ARH stops at the axle). MY GOD is it loud.... extreme drone exept at idle. I can't hear the radio on 75% volume at 2000 RPMs.

I will be going to the muffler shop tomorrow to see if they can fix the stock mufflers. Otherwise, I will be getting magnaflow street series.

I've got 1 7/8" AR LT headers with high flow cats and X pipe all the way back to the rear axle...

I don't think I'm getting drone. My problems comes when I downshift and use the engien to slow the car down before I come up to a red light, the car makes popping sounds as if someone was fireing a gun. I use to have that problem since the car was new, but it was not as loud as it is now with the mods.

all of the V8 Camaros do this popping... you can hear it more when you change from the stock exhaust.

The PCM is pulling fuel during decel. You can tune it out if you want (I forget what it is called... decel delivery or something... check with the tuner gurus). My wideband guage shows an AFR so lean (over 22:1) that it reads an error during decel... right when the popping starts.

It saves gas. It saved you from paying the $1700 gas guzzler tax when you bought your car ... well that and skipshift.
