I have been working with Craig Martinez at Henna Chevrolet in Austin. He quoted me MSRP, and has done a great job getting my order in. First contacted Henna on 4/14, and as of today, the order has been accepted for production and will be built next week!

i emailed about 13 different dealers in orange county, california, two in pomona and two in riverside. they all said the same thing:

"everyone else is marking them up 5 or 10 thousand. we're selling at msrp"

i have yet to find anyone who is marking up!!!

Generally speaking, dealers are selling at MSRP for pre-orders, but charging a premium for cars on the lot. So consider it an "instant gratification tax"

After the storm of IOM's ran into Dallas last week I called Young Chevrolet and Frank Para, and both quoted me 4k over MSRP for anything on the lot. Frank Para also had a special edition black-on-black for 10k over MSRP.

Mike Mathews is my sales rep, selling at MSRP they started out at 1000 over but changed it and even wrote a check $1000 refund check to a guy who purchased one before they got rid of the $1000 over.

one of my 2 just arrived at the dealer today. Black 2ss rs. I was hoping to be able to get a video of them taking off the truck. Instead the general manager called me and took a picture of it and PDA'd it and checked it through. Asked if he could drive it around the block. I said yes. It now has 4 miles on it. He left the plastic on all the interior pieces as I requested and did not mount the plate bracket on the front as I requested. It now sits on the showroom floor roped off and locked. So, no one else touches it or gets near it. I told him that was fine. I will see it for the first time and pick it up tomorrow. Sold it to me a little UNDER msrp! The other I ordered was a Yellow 2ss rs from another dealer. It hasnt arrived. So, I called chevrolet with the order number and they told me the order was in but the dealer didn't finalize the order. 6 months AGO! So, it was not a completed order! Then the dealer calls me a few weeks back and tells me they want a $2500 non-refundable deposit before they finalize the order and that they were going to sell it to me for 5k OVER msrp. Bunch of CRAP!! what a run around. I was their first order on Oct. 13th of 2008 and this is how the manager "behind the glass wall" does business. CRAP! I should have ordered both from the other dealer! :( DO NOT ORDER anything or buy anything from the Hendricks group!!:( This is Colonial Chevrolet in Norfolk Virginia!! Updates tomorrow on the one that did arrive. THANKS to all of you for the great pics of your new rides!!

My local dealership quoted me $3000 dollars above invoice and stated they were going to add an addition $10,000 dollars above that.

Service Auto Mall in Ada Ok.

I will not be buying a car from them even if the gave me one. The sales manager was a jerk, and didn't give me the time of day or even seem interested in selling me a car. I hope they go under. And yet they do advertise "Cars do cost lest in Ada" BS!!!!
