Spring/sway reccomendations

Got a 2010 ss. I don't push the car that much just some spirited driving here and there. I want to lowered it and don't want to spend the money on coil overs so please don't even say it. I need some help deciding on what drop I want.

So... Who has pfadt, bmr or hotchkis springs and sways mad what are your opinions on your set ups???

Thanks in advanced!

I went with Pfadt springs and ZL-spec sway bars. Huge improvement.

I think as far as price, performance, and value goes it is really hard to beat our Level 1 handling performance package (HPP018). It come with our BMR 1" lowering springs (SP019) and our BMR front and rear sway bar kit (SB030). If you wanted to swap the 1" lowering springs our for our 1.4" lowering springs (SP022) or our split drop 1.4" front/1" rear lowering (SP025) we could do that also. If you have any question or if there is anything we can help you out on let us know.

Would I HAVE to upgrade my end links or are the stock ones going to be fine, keep I mind the car is only used for daily driving and no track usage what so ever.

The Hotchkis springs are one of the best riding springs out there and would typically be what I recommend. Pfadt springs are great too, just a little lower. It doesn't sound like you really do anything competitive with your Camaro so upgrading to the ZL spec FE4 style bars may be overkill for your situation.

I'd suggest either going with the Hotchkis package Part # 80115-1 or the Pfadt sport sway package Part # 1450011. Both packages include springs and sway bars and are very affordable.

Please feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions or pricing.

Best regards,

Tyler

Can anyone verify that these springs are better than the 2012 SS's?

We are the largest domestic Hotchkis dealer in Arizona and I personally have a '10 and a '12 SS, great riding and handling suspension. I feel its an improvement over the stock springs, my '10 has over 75k on it and it handles and rides awesome.

PM me if your interested in a Hotchkis kit, I have some of the best prices.

I'm with Tyler on this one. I have the Hotchkis 1" springs and loved the ride/look prior to adding the sways. I added the Pfadt ZL spec sways from JDP and the poly subframe bushings. Car handles great and rides nice on smooth and even roads, but it is a little harsh on bad and uneven roads as a result of the sways, not the springs. A sport sway bar may be good enough for your driving.

My Hotchkis springs are better quality, provide better handling, braking, and looks over OEM. The ride quality is the same or better in a different more planted stable way over OEM. If I did one mod only it would be the springs for all the aforementioned benefits.
