Or maybe they are just looking for possible issues. Some early 2010's had starter cable problems even after the initial qc hold.

I understand the frustration everyone is talking about as I have car #305 waiting for shipment as well. The good news is that GM has been saying early spring all along which still has not come. Perhaps deliveries will still be on target.

Has anyone started a thread about trade-in amounts that are received for their SS. I went ahead and let the dealer take my 2011 1SS manual trans car in now, before 2013 models start coming in and running the values down. I think I did good considering I got 28K from a dealer here in Dallas, Texas.

oh, yeah, a google search today turned up a statement from GM to the extent the QC hold is for all cars coming out of the Oshawa plant and not just the ZL1......not assessing any truth to it just passing it along...

Has anyone else heard the claims that the carbon fiber Mohawk will not be available for anymore of the 2012 models, and will only be produced on the 2013 year models? My order number is PZWMMF and I've heard this because mine is still at 1100 status and I added the Mohawk to my ZL1!

What the heck is a carbon fiber Mohawk? The "reverse mohawk" on the Camaro is on the roof, not the hood.

Actually, the Chevrolet website uses "Mohawk" in reference to the hood air extractor.

From the section on the Exterior on the http://www.chevrolet.com/camaro-zl1-sports-car/ web page:

"The "Mohawk" hood air extractor, large lower grille openings and lower splitter combine for improved cooling and aerodynamic efficiency."

...actually...here is the clip from the webchat transcript....the "Mohawk" is what the carbon fiber hood insert is referred to....

"Al Oppenheiser:
We have strategically gone after mass savings on the ZL1, such as the Wheels and Tires are 22 lbs less than the LS3 Wheels and Tires. The Carbon Fiber 'Mowhawk' is aimed at mass reduction, all to compensate for the additional mass of the Supercharger, Suspension upgrades, etc.
