Rust in that spot seems very unusual. It would have me questioning if it was a flood car where seawater got into it. I wouldn't buy that car for any amount looking at it. Too much work and $$ to fix it. There are plenty of other cars out there I'm sure you could find for the same or better deal to buy. But it's your call I guess.

The vehicle is reported to be a 2 owner vehicle, with clean title... I know that doesn't tell the whole story and people can misrepresent things.

The rust surprised me as well, as I have never seen nore heard of another 4th Gen with rust like that... However since the vehicle is located in Chicago I assumed if it had lots of winter driving that may have added to the rust?

Is that through carfax?

If you have rust only up there - there has to be rust elsewhere?...

Are the brake and fuel lines shedding material from rust?

Yea run from that. Its not worth the potential amount of money you could end up spending to fix it. People are selling 4th gens all the time.

How much are you looking to spend on a super clean SS or Z/28 with under 70k on it (A4 cars).
