2013 Chevy Camaro Sunroof Problems

I'm unsure if I posted this is the right section, as I am new, but figured I would give it a shot. I bought a brand new 2013 camaro 2 lt about 3 weeks ago, and Im already having a problem with the sunroof. It was fine, up until today. After I close the sunroof, you can hear a gridning noise for about 8 seconds after, almost like its trying to keep closing, and it rattles now when going over a bump. I called the dealer and am going in, but I feel like theyre gonna say theres nothing they can do. help!!

Why do you think they will tell you that?

Unless you have reasons to doubt their ability to fix the issue, I wouldn't worry about it.
Take it in and tell them exactly what you said in your post above.

I am sure they will get you fixed up. You already know it isn't normal, as it wasn't doing that when you first bought it.
So, give them a chance.

If it's a legit issue meaning it isn't one of those issues that "can't be duplicated" they'll just replace the entire sunroof module, or if it's easier then just the motor for the roof. If you question their ability to do the job then find a different dealer to take it to. Most dealers will have their body shop do these kind of jobs. Both of the dealers I used to work for had specific tech's for interior & trim work specifically.

Your dealership should be able to address this issue. It also sounds like you should be under warranty as well. The dealership will be able to check this for you also.

Hey Bab515 - I had the same issue with the Sunroof (among many other issues) in my 2012 within the first month of buying the car. Took it to the Dealer where I purchased the vehicle and they stated the noise was normal and quoted it was "Body Flex" and I would just need to get used to it. After a litte research I decided to bring the car to another Chevy Dealer and without hesitation they called the sunroof defective and replaced the whole thing. Not an issue with the Sunroof since then.

So many problems with my new 2013 Camaro 2 LT RS idk where to begin, my car has 5500 miles. I have been hearing squealing from my right rear tire, all four tire pressure sensors r showing completely wrong tire pressure light stays on, driver window squeals when going up, within 3500 miles I was 2 quarts low on oil. Now after an oil change, an 1k miles later the dip stick is showing oil on the notch second to the full notch without any leaks. Clutch jumps when I depress the clutch when coming to a stop, the noise is so loud that it can be heard from outside of the car in dash radio screen has a mind of its own n either comes on when I don't touch it or doesn't come on at all out freezes. The list goes on!!!!! Talked to the dealership where I bought it they said all of it is normal r u kidding
