ZL Fun at Vengeance Racing
Today was Vengeance Racing's customer appreciation day, in Cumming, Ga, just outside of Atlanta. It was fun
M6, only mod is Rotofab CAI, no tune [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] The one on the left below is mine, the one on the right has 662rwhp Poser(just kidding), looks good though [IMG][/IMG] Good Turn Out, there were probably 50+ cars that showed up [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] And for anyone going to F Body Gathering in Atlanta this weekend, this is where we are cruising to on Sunday. The staff was very friendly, and the manager Kevin and I had a several minute conversation about where I wanted to get with my car. He was extremely knowledgeable, informative, and helpful. The guys there, like the black ZL1, polished wheels, with 662 to the ground, that have had their cars worked on by Vengeance have nothing but good things to say about them. And they work on a lot of LS3s and LSAs. Oh, and it doesn't hurt that they had many vehicles they had done on display like a Z06 pushing 899rwhp.

I'll be back on Sunday, so if "The ladies of Vengeance" are back then I'll get them with some cars and take pics. But it will be all Camaros and Firebirds this time. Ill have probably 1000 pics from the whole weekend, pic a few good ones to put up on this forum. Ill probably put one under the ZL1 area. But a broader one with all 5th gens also for everyone.

He's got the zl1 bumper but looks like a SS badge on the grille to me. I may be wrong though.

Thanks for that Linden (venom ss). I don't appreciate being called a poser too much, especially since GAfool and I both have a ZL1 bumper conversion with a clear SS badge. I don't have the money for a ZL1 and I really like the bumper. Not trying to act like I'm packing close to 600 horses under the hood when I don't have it. I'm only 23 and I pay for all of my own stuff (my car is paid off) so I'm happy where I'm at and maybe I will have a corvette zr1 one day if my company keeps doing as well as it is. That is my dream car, and then maybe I won't be a poser...

Thanks, but I wasn't trying to have a good reply or anything, I just went to have fun. I was hanging out with all of the other Camaro guys that went (all the ones I knew drove SSs) and we even wore our Camaro 5 gear and I didn't meet or talk with anyone else who had camaros because its hard to pinpoint who drives what. I'm just upset I jump on the site I frequent and I see that.

Gosh we hit a nerve with a young guy having to explain he pays for everything himself, what a surprise. Look, let it go a little, the statement with the pic is with jest a little. Sorry you don't get that. After all, I said it looks good, and frankly I don't believe I would have put it here if it were a trashy car or a bad pic so there you go.
You like your car the way you've got it and that's what matters so enjoy it and don't worry what about other people say. And I'll give everyone a hint for my future posts, they always have humor in them, it's just the way my brain works. When I was 19, my mom's house was burning down, literally, all of our possessions going up. I turned to my brother and said "anybody have any marshmellows." Humor gets me through life. And no one from the ZL1 side say "well this is under a ZL1 forum." I invited everyone

Use the Force

Just clarify, the picture with the dyno printout shows the change of going to a Roto-Fab intake? Just a 4 HP increase, is that correct?

It's all with Rotofab, I didn't do a base line stock. The increase in HP is your guess. The decrease in torque from first to second pull is heat, according to the guys there. And the pulls were like seconds apart from each other. They figured that the Rotofab without a tune was good for about a 15 hp increase, but that is solely a guess, I think others have seen better, and we don't really know what my car would have read on that dyno in stock form. Further, they had my AC on and probably the traction control, I don't know what if any negative impact those may have had. It was fun, but it sure would have felt a little better if that puppy had read 525 or 530. I'll say this, I am an inexperienced drag racer. I've run my car maybe 14 times down an 1/8th mile. The week after I put the Rotofab on I saw my new best time of 8.41, and I think my previous best was 8.54. So was it the intake or me improving or a little of both, who knows? But I'm satisfied with it so far. And when I do some more work on the car I'll tune it and see even better results

It wasn't really directed at you 2012 it's the comment below that, that sparked the fuel. And I'm not happy with the way the car is lol, I have very long list of things I want to do to it as most other members have. The post wasn't supposed to be about me paying for everything, it was just to say that I put an SS badge on as soon as I got the bumper done in order to NOT be a poser. Just didn't figure with the badging SS hood and other body styling that still shows it's an SS I would get the poser thing. Regardless I thought you had the best looking Z there...
