I would look EXACTLY Like Tommy Lee Jones if I had to "sit there" with all those morons. (and this includes if I worked in the movie business). I would be embarrassed to be seen in there.

The truth is you DO NOT NEED to win any kind of "award" if the award is being given for something "artistic".

Art is subjective. And the people handing out the awards almost always ARE NOT Artisitic types. Their motives are political for the award selections.

George Lucas NEVER won an academy award. But he sold the STAR WARS franchise for something like 4 billion dollars. He probably laughs every single day about how he was treated like "garbage" because he refused to put any credits at the beginning of his star wars movies. He rightfully should laugh directly in their faces. They tried to "modify" his "art" and they failed. but they fined him for it.

If I were an actor, I would show up to those things in jeans and a t-shirt with a highball glass of my favorite scotch. If I won, I would walk up to the microphone (still holding my drink), say, "Thanks," and walk off the stage.
