Anyone want to guess my SBC hp?
Here's the specs I was given when I bought the motor:
It is a 10.5:1 355. 4 bolt main '010' block bored .030 over, with replacement bolts. Line bored and decked to 9.010". All Clevite bearings. Forged lightweight flat top 2 valve relief pistons w/plasma moly rings Forged Crank and bowtie rods. Assembly internally balanced Double roller chain Elgin hydraulic flat tappet cam. E1165 (here's the specs I found for cam) Lift: .488/.510 Duration: 303/313 Duration @ .050": 234/244 Lobe Separation: 106 LC Fair idle. Street/strip. Mild bracket. Oval track hydraulic w/1.6 Roller tip rockers Melling oil pump 200cc ProTopline Iron heads. 64cc chambers. 2.02/1.60 valves (untouched-no porting or cutting of any kind) Strip Dominator intake w/ Holley 750 carb no choke running open intake and open headers (race motor) electric water pump, no power steering. I have a number in my head that I'm thinking it makes, not saying, just curious what everyone thinks it makes. |

RWHP with manual = ~ 350 rwhp on 100 octane.
Don't get hurt, but that's about the spec of the LT1 350ci/360HP SBC from 1970. 2.02 heads, solid cam with 314°/346° duration at 0 lash.

Not hurt at all McRat, I know it makes more than that. Guy I bought the motor from showed me chassis dyno sheets from when the motor was in a circle dirt car, with vortec heads and a 2bbl carb and made 402 to the wheels. Then when he got the motor from his brother he freshened it up and put these heads on it with a Edelbrock performer RPM intake unknown carb. I then put my intake and carb on it.
Oh and I will be running a powerglide 4.56 gears and 32x14 slicks. |
