Honestly that is not bad for your first run with a manual. I've seen plenty of people do 14+ their first time (including myself )

First time, not bad at all. As you can see your 60ft time is pretty shabby. That is what you need to take care of. Get a good 60 ft., sub 2.0 , hit your shifts and the rest will take care of it's self.

I like 3500 rpm. Basically your trying to find the point at which it feels like an auto coming out of the gate. Start lower and keep raising it until it doesn't bog down when launching. Some of my best 60's, feel like the car is spinning just a little bit which i trade off for keeping the RPMs up.
A 2.0 60' is what you should shoot for, 1.9s and you're doing great and 1.8s have only been done by BLUFIN who has the fastest 1/8 pass and 3rd fastest 1/4. Every .1 or (tenth) of a second gained in the 60' equates to a .15-.2 gained in the quarter on your E.T.

Alright thanks alot. I launched at 1500 and i bogged down big time. As i said it was my first time ever and i didnt even know wat the hell i was doing. I just used my imstinct. I had a 98 ws6 before and it had bolt ons and i was runing 13.3s at 104 with a 2.0 60 ft. And that was an automatic. So maybe next time i go i will try 2500 to 3000 rpms just to get a good feel for it
