On/off speaker pop.

I just installed an amplifier, to my BA system. It is a 5 ch Alpine amp.
I replaced the rear speakers in my vert and added a 10" alpine dual voice coil sub. I did the wiring myself, everything sounds and works well, except the pop sound coming form the speakers during power on and power off. I used the white wire from the amp harness to turn amp on, also used the amp harness for all connections except power and ground, I used battery for those connections. Any suggestions on how to get rid of popping noise?

Welcome to my previous hell. I think I can help you out.

Check my thread (here) out for options. Which Alpine amp do you have?

Alpine mrx-70x. It is a nice amp.
I appreciate the work you did in your thread, it has saved me a lot of time. Proabaly going to wire the remote to the cigarette lighter, I don't care about the chimes.
