NEED ADVICE ATI, EDLEBROCK, OR LT4

Ok guys so finally i put away a little money sold my offroad toy too and now i can buy a supercharger. I was interested in the procharger due to its price and ease of installation.(i work at a chevy dealership one of my techs said he will do it during the weekend) but im not impressed with torque numbers. The edlebrock seemed pricey but they have better numbers and comes with a 3 year warranty. I've also seen people install the lt4 supercharger on the Lt1 i haven't researched this option to much but i hear if i can find someone to install it that the numbers are incredible. This is my daily driver car and i do travel in it so reliability is a must i don't really go to the track all that much but hey I've always dreamed of a zl1 so this is my budget version (i love my ss). Cost is important to me but i don't mind spending a little extra if its a big difference so far i'm leaning towards the procharger

You really, really need to spend a lot of time reading the posts on this sub-forum. This type of question can't be answered by anyone else but you. Everyone will have their opinion based on what they are already running, or worse, what they heard.

Does the guy who is going to do the install have any experience? That may be a big plus for that type of supercharger he's used to.

Like me...I have an E-Force and love it! But the Maggie is just as good and they are basically twin sisters, even down to the warranty.

Read and come back with specific questions. If I had any suggestion, search for Toohipsi's posts for some good, in depth, technical discussion. But he's not the only one. There is a lot of knowledgeable people here. But in the end, gotta choose your own horse.

I haven't seen anyone unhappy with their choice. I chose LT4 because it's GM and lighter.

I'm a Maggie guy, put one on my Pontiac g8gt and now I have one on my 16ss and its awesome. Wouldn't consider anything else. Am I bias, Yes. It makes killer power and prices are right. Looks great when you open the hood, pulls like crazy from a dead or 70 mph hour roll. Magnuson makes a great kit top to bottom and you even have a non intercooled setup if you want to start on a budget as I did and now I'm adding the intercooler. You can't go wrong with a Heartbeat.

I just don't think there is a bad decision. Personally I am leaning Maggie HB. I haven't seen anyone regardless of the decision regretting it. If pro charger fits your budget go for it and don't look back. How can adding an extra 150ish rwhp be anything but good.

+1

I can tell you that I would have gone for the lt4 but I'm not paying to ship my car in both directions and none of the builders I talked to are willing to touch it with a 10 foot pole. Personally I will be going the Maggie route. I have no plans on running it down the track and based on the community and what I have been seeing, it seems to be the best choice, at least for me.

I don't think you can make a bad choice. It all depends on budget, maintenance, pet peeves, goals, driving habits...

I have been contemplating this as well and am leaning toward the LT4 for the same reasons as LibertyHill mentioned. Plus ADM is in my backyard.

You can't beat OEM parts.
