In that case, the Boss man is full of it. Maybe the Boss owner can't count past 417?

Or like I said, a low reading dyno. Unless the two cars were dynoed on the same day, on the same machine, variances are going to be present.

for what its worth, was invited to Mustang charity track day, and they had a sweet new 302...beautiful car; but never broke below 12.9. So a stock SS probably won't beat a stock 302 with similar drivers and street tires...
....but slight mods to the LS3 will drop below the average 302 driver (in this case with this Mustang club)....

^ Did you run your car at that event? And what was a trap speed for the Boss?

Whatever the Boss's numbers are, it really doesn't matter does it? The owner said the car was tuned and had bolt on mods. The cammed Camaro owner knew this and agreed to race. Bottom line is the cammed Camaro could not keep up with the bolt on Boss, is this really a shock to everyone?

low dyno reading my ass, and then elsewhere someone questioned my dyno reading being high, both cars were dynoed not far from each other and numbers from similar car that were run on both dynos my tunners and his post almost identical so the dynos are equivelent in my observation. my point is if your running nitrous just say you are,
or is that just thrown is as bolt ons?hes running better #'s than a 2012 gt 500 with just an intake, exhaust and tune alone? bullshit plain and simple. he claims 417 & 368trq. so even at 375lbs lighter than my camaro im @ 470 & 429trq. thats 53 more hp & 61trq. the race should have been very close. also in other races he racing forced induction cars and a cammed g8 with nitros and still there??? really??? my point is i set the race cause it should have been a good way to gauge the mods i made to the car. dont tell someone you got bolt ons and a tune and then hit the guy with a 100 shot or maybe even a 150 and act like no one can figure it out. if your spraying just say so.. if that was the case than no one would buy any shelbys they could just buy a boss and add a cai, exhaust and tune and save $25-30k. |

If he was running a 100 shot he would have pulled much harder. I think your gearing is what's holding you back, and where the Boss makes it's power is a big advantage. Also, different dynos, different days, you're gonna get different readings. I still think he is on a low reading dyno. My buddies GT with Boss intake, tune, cat deletes, and cat back exhaust makes a solid 410whp on a Mustang Dyno. That Boss is a much stronger car.

I have read alot of BS in this thread about the this boss. The owner of the stang is lying plain and simple. I know the boss is a decently built car. But it will not beat a cammed SS. I know the mustang fanboys want to feel like the boss is the BOSS....lol. But it's not, Motortrend even tested it against the ZL1 and the ZL1 dominated, even though I have seen and heard many say the boss with a couple boltons would win. Again like I said already, the owner of the boss is lying his butt off period.

I recently read the thred on LS1tech. I have been a member for like 8years or more and I go there often but stay in the gen 4 engine tech since I bought my 5th gen. If you are on Ls1tech enough you will know why. They HATE 5th gens with a passion. If you read the thread and even though its a GM forum everyone was happy the BOSS won and hardly no one was surprised. Most think the 5th gen is a fat piece of pig sh!t and give the car no respect. I get that locally too and is why all my mods are sleeper so when I stomp on someone they are like WTF!
What I gathered from the race is yeah the BOSS probably is running the dyno # he claims but it is probably a stingy dyno. What is not discussed and kept kinda secreate is the fact that the Boss has removed AT LEAST 150lBS and probably closer to 400lbs. This guys Boss would destroy a stock Boss and probably pull a cai/ tuned Boss pretty good so no one should think of the Boss as a full weight mild bolt on car. The other thing is that the OP has very little driving experience with his car and could have done alot better

Do any if you guys remember the video of the boss beating the zl1 that was floating around? He had less mods(jlt pipe/x-pipe/tune) and put down 440 to the tire and revved out to 7500rpm so I call bs on the claimed whp of this boss even on a "stingy" dyno. Another thing is some of these guys are turning 8000rpm and in that video it sounded like he was leaning on it pretty hard so I would say 7500-8000 all day with about 450-470whp.
