Wouldn't the pre-production models eliminate the need to hold the car for quality control?

I think they will start build outs for CTF cars around Oct-Nov time frame if not earlier and we will see some on the street during the last quarter of 2011 to provide adequate feedback to the build team before regular production begins in Jan 2012. As for time frame to dealers, I think if the build out goes well and the quality checks on the production models goes well, late Jan or early Feb 2012 is my guess. GM might want to have an adequate amount on hand prior to shipment so that at least each dealer may have 1 on hand at launch with higher volume Camaro dealers getting more due to allocations.

Though, I'm not sure about the importance of getting one to every dealer, since it's not a new CAR...but a model of a car... |

Yeah.... I don't think I want IBM again though. And even that color might not even be around much longer.

I love IBM, but I want something that's not so close to black. It's a pain to keep clean.
Also IBM was one of the lowest selling colors in 2010. And I don't believe it's doing much better in 2011. Blues don't have a reputation of being good sellers. Just a hunch on my part. |
