Hugger, I don't recall the question asked. But were you at WOT when this happened?

Was there any lifter tic or other weird signs beforehand?

that sucks on every level.
I'm a feared that anything would go wrong with this car..so no warranty voiding mods for me...just making the engine pretty etc...it's killing me listening to all the performance mods, I really want them! but, I don't want to take the chance.
not my usual style either...

Are any valves broken? What's the threshold on cam duration and lift on the ls3 since the absence of valve pockets on the piston?

I think its the car washes in Oshawa that are cursed though. Bad things seem to happen to people who go there.

I had the sliding door at the hotel open and heard the engine blow. Was that you that really had your foot in the gas pedal when it blew, or was that someone else? What I heard was someone that was hot dogging it, sounded like they were over revving the engine. If it was you granted it shouldn't have happened and we all know it could happen to any of us when we get the frequent urge to feel the power.

I'm just curious if this happened when you were just driving normally or were you getting on it big time when it happened? Please don't mistake this as accusing you of doing anything wrong either, because that's not what I'm doing.

Gm unfortunatley will have a field day with the Cam and tune.. You pretty much oficially voided your warranty right there.. Did you put the Cam in yourself or did a shop?

Left the light and shifted at redline.....rolled out of the light and floored it. No noises before the carnage.

Comp Cams .571/.590 228/240 on a 113 LSA no issues with PTV there.

I shifted @ redline....what you heard was all the racket post shift. I was getting on it....are you telling me GM built this car to be driven like a Cruze?

Dam.. brutal pics.. Sorry for the breakdown.. I feel your pain.. .. When it comes to the heart of the engine .. You really have to know what your doing when installing a cam.. Sucks though that it was fine for a long time until it went south..
