License Plate

Hey guys,

I have a question, I've seen some cars around San Diego that have a custom out-of-the-country license plate (including my friends) on their front bumper. They haven't had any problems with the law. I did it to today, I have both my California plates displayed, and the Kuwaiti custom plate ordered from online is on my front bumper. My friend came by and started telling me that 2 of his friends have been bailed at $5000 each and that if the car had passed 1 year since he bought it they would of been jailed for 3 months. So my question is that would I be in big trouble if I keep it on? Please reply only if your 100% sure of your answer.

Thanks a bunch!

This'll be a short thread. 100% sure answers only? Ok, good luck. I'm 99.999% sure you won't get a 100% right answer.

not a 100% 100% but like some what responsible and just a guess. It's not an out of state, it's a different country.

Question is why you would want to add more license plates to your Camaro, one is enough for me...

I'm 100% sure I wouldn't have two plates on the front, one of which would get me a 5K fine and/or 3 months in jail....Just not worth the "look" to me...

Lol sorry for being unclear, I have one sitting on my windshield, the other one I just stuck on my bumper. Because It's a Kuwaiti plate and I like it. No definite answer? Guess I'll just ask an officer.

I don't even like one on my car, and seems I have been fortunate not to get a ticket for it.

I really don't know what the law is, but good luck finding out. I have seen plenty of cars running around with those plates.

I've seen cars like this, usually the "other" plate is behind the "real" plate which looks dumb. Not sure the law could do anything as long as you have the real plates where they belong.

Good luck with the fuzz, most cases they will tell you some bs answer because they don't have a f in clue. Too many laws, whatever you do don't put red sidemarkers on, GunnyG can tell you more lol

I think it would take away too much from the beauty of the front fascia. I'd stick it in the garage. I have a plate that carmax was awesome enough to drill for me and hate it.
