OK,then you should be able to do it yourself then,as long as you can get everything loose and apart, you will probably need a swivel then since your leaving your manifolds in place.

Ok, thanks I've got my shopping list. First thing I'm going to do is see if the sensors will break loose. If not I'll spray them and wait a while.

Thanks everyone, I'll let you know how it goes.

Yes,try and break the sensors loose, like I said even after you break them loose you might have some issues getting them all the way out like I did,if so just spray them down, work them back in,then back out a little more,IE-"back-n-forth"
Even after we did this with mine I still had one where the threads were ruined,so I ended-up getting a new O2 sensor (and there was only 400 miles on mine at the time)

Most PITA for me was removing the green zip ties through the O2 sensor clips. O2 sensors came right out with the O2 removal tool. We used an pneumatic wrench to get the bolts off - broke a couple but the SOLO's came with new ones.

Took about 2-3 hours...those zip ties........hope it all goes well.

whats up with the zip ties? and what bolts did you break?

I've got all the tools, car is on ramps cooling down. I bought mine used, so no hardware, If I break a bolt I'm stuck.

The bottom sensors on both sides broke loose without issue. Looks like the hard part is going to be unplugging the damn things. I'm missing the bolts that came with the solos' so I'm SOL today. Just noticed the studs are screwed into the stock cats, so i've got to contact the guy I got them from to see if he has them. Sucks hard.

Yeah, good and bad news. It's like getting a BB gun for Christmas with no BB's. I know the guy took them off when he got an ARD package, hopefully they are in his garage and not laying around the shop at ARD somewhere.

The O2 sensor plugs have a green plastic tab that runs through a hole on the connector, basically locking the connector in place. They are VERY hard to get out. I ended up just breaking mine and doing it that way. The sensors still stay plugged in no problems.

When I did my high flow cat install I used an O2 socket. They came right out no problems.

Yeah I borrowed a o2 socket set for free at autozone, other than the$25 deposit. Plugs are always a bitch, I'm sure removing them will take longer than the rest of the install.

Yes there is a gasket between the cats and the manifolds. No, do not go for a drive. Driving with open headers can melt the wiring underneath the car.

Thanks, the passenger stock cat is still on, wouldn't dare drive with it open. t I found the gasket and it doesn't fit in the solo. Now I get to put the stock one back on. It's been a fun day.
