Lets talk snow.
The Camaro is going to be my main car and I am wondering, since it is a rear wheel drive car, how will it does in the snow. I know that it has stabilitrack and traction control, but what should I really suspect. Also how well would it do on ice.

My old 88 Iroc-Z was the worst car I've ever seen in snow.
If it was a light dusting, I was ok. If there was any kind of significant accumulation, it was horrible. I'm not sure how different the new ones will be in that regard, but I'd plan on having a backup plan for heavy snow. Perhaps you can pickup an old front wheel drive beater. Do you really want your new camaro in that nasty snow and salt anyway??? I don't. |

Lots of folks buying a Camaro probably haven't driven a rear wheel drive car in snow. Front Wheel Drive has been the norm for many manufactures for years. If you have to drive it, and live in an area that gets real snow, get 4, not 2, snow tires. Better yet, if possible, park it.

it's been proven to be well-behaved in the snow, providing you put some snow tires on it. if you get out there with the stock summer tires (on the SS or LT/RS) you're gonna have a tough time keeping it on the road, but that ain't the car's fault - it's due to the tires not being intended for cold usage.
