Possible to find my VIN online?

I don't have access to my car and I need the VIN number to order some parts for my car and they will not place my order until I have this. SO.... Like the title says.

Is there a site I can look up my VIN #?

Your insurance company will have it. I usually have a card in my wallet for each vehicle, that's where I get mine. If you don't have a card maybe call your agent?

Title and registration have the vin on them.
Is the car built or just on order? You can also look it up with the workbench number at GM Connects.

Onstar lasted about 6 months and that's long since expired.

The car was ordered in July of 09 and delivered in November.

Thanks for the help, it's just not something I carry with me.

I took a picture of the door sticker for some reason and it coincidentally has my VIN on it. I can't tell you how many times in the past 3 months I've pulled the photo up on my phone to reference my VIN. Can't remember why I took the picture (maybe the build date being 9/2011?) but it's proven to be quite useful to have on my phone.

In those 6 months did you never get a Vehicle Diagnostics report?

Your VIN is in that email.

If you have had any warranty work done on your car, any Chevy dealer can pull up the info.

Do you know the last 5 numbers of your car ? Is it LS3 or L99 ?

You don't have a file for paperwork for each car?

You haven't memorized it!

YES - What this guy said. I did this myself when I had to reference the VIN number some time back.

I edited your thread title btw. Sorry when people say "VIN number" - it just bugs me. It's a pet peeve. VIN = Vehicle Identification Number
