Status Code 3000 in less than 24 Hours after Pre-Order?
After a week of walking into the dealership and pre-ordering my 2010\SS2\RS\Black\Black\Polished\Sunroof I decided to call my dealership Classic Chevrolet to speak the Sales and Inventory Manager to get a status Code and my 2nd Order Number. (The First one was cancelled at another dealership) Not only did he say I was bumped to 3000 in less than 24 hours after submitting my pre-order but he also said that I might see the car within in 3-4 weeks now.
 When I asked him why I reached 3000 so quick he said because there was already a order in the system that he just modified with my vehicle specs and submitted it after I confirmed the changes. Awesome!With all the allocations that i was given verbally from my sales guy, I figured it's kind of odd that I went from a Walk-In Pre-Order Customer to a 3000 Status Code in less than a day but what gives? Can this be right? thanks

They are getting caught up with the pre orders, is the only thing I can think of.

your lucky man, I ve been at 1100 since october 20th. black ss with sunroof. nothing to speciall or complicated even got the standard.

Of course you will get yours soon. Definately before us whom ordered in October. That's the way the system is working.

Thanks. Well I had cancelled another pre-order yeserday that I had at another dealership here in Houston Texas. I was just not satisfied with the way i was being treated so i got with Eric and went to Classic Chvy. Anyway, if anyoners interested, PM and I can give you the dealers name and sales guy with the order number...Last time I checked this car was a 1SS black RS Polished wheels and sunroof.

I know that lots of you per-ordered LONG before I did since I ordered 07 Jan and I'm still at 1100. It's just crazy. My dealer and I are close friends and I know she would put mine in if given the chance, if nothing else but to get rid of me. It just doesn't make sense how this has all NOT come together. Congrats on the score though.

I bet you guys that are still waiting, not all but some were lied to by your dealers about allocation (not GM). These guys were never thinking about a forum like this to expose them. I had it happen twice to me before I really had my order in. They always say yes we have 1 more allocation just for you, while they sold that same spot 4 times and put you in the computer but without allocation the computer jumps over it until all real pre orders with real dealer allocation are filled.
WHO wants to bet me?
