Gas Door Opening? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey guys, did a search and all I got was things about chrome gas doors or locking gas caps.

Having owned my car for a month now and reading through the manual about 8 bazillion times I can not find the answer to this question:

Is there an easier was to open the gas door than trying to jam your pinkie in the crack between the door and the quarter panel?

It kind of looks like there is a little 'bumper' that should nudge your door open a bit.

I am sure it is totally obvious and I give myself a

in advance for not figuring this out without help.

push the 9:00 position on the door an it will pop open

Oh Man, I feel for you. I called up my dealer all mad telling them they didn't install the Universal Home remote, then my wife went out to the car and found the buttons in two seconds.

It took me a few minutes to figure it out the first time I stopped for gas. I figured there was a button in the car that would pop the door open. Took me a few, but I finally figured it out. When I did get it opened I took a quick look around to see if anyone was watching me!

Don't feel too bad.
