Cammed & Supercharged L99 Dyno Results, help and feedback needed.

Thanks to Jessika @superchargerconnection, excellent customer service, she guided me all the way and supported me with whatever I needed ..

Well, I finally got a rough result on the below modifications made on my 2011 L99 which are:
3’inch SW Retro Catback
Stainless Power 1-7/8'' LT with Off Road Pipes
L99 to LS3 Conversion Kit
GT-11 Cam Kit
TVS 2300 with 3.8’ Pulleys and stock injectors (52lbs)
Stock CAI.
Stock Fuel Pump

The results were from DynoJet with ambient temperature of approximately 15-18 Degrees Celsius:
Power and Torque: 508rwhp and 470tq
Boost Level: 4.35psi
Injectors: 86% IDC (Cold Engine 1st & 2nd Run) and 96% IDC (Hot Engine 3rd & 4th Run)
Air/Fuel Ratio: 11.98

Tuner reduced rev limiter to 6000 instead of 6300 (bench mark of the SCT tuner that comes with the kit) to be extra safe until i upgrade the fuel pump.

Now I have few questions in mind and I need to sort them out before my next move:

1. Exhaust Sound is very loud at idle. I’m looking for ‘a way’ to return it at least to the level of stock as I will definitely NOT pass the Car Inspection which will be due in 2 years time. Here in Bahrain, I believe they go with ‘Sound’, the lower it is, the easier I pass .. I was thinking of putting back my Stock L99 Factory Exhaust, but I got some feedback that by doing so, I will strangle the car engine and will shorten it’s life cycle as I have a cam and a SC. Is this true? Even with a good tune? What shall I do in this case? And what do you recommend?

2. I am definitely going to install the ZL1 fuel pump for extra security to reach to my goal (550-600rwhp) level. Would changing the stock fuel pump to a ZL1 one require a retune? Would it improve the Injector Duty Cycle at my current modifications?

3. I’m running stock tires and currently it’s like driving on ice at WOT even though my tires are brand new as they are not daily driven (just about 15,000km ~ 9,300 miles). I need a good set of back tires so I can enjoy the car when driving. What do you recommend for the hot weather conditions in Bahrain?

Appreciate your feedback and comments regarding this and thank you all in advanced.

The stock exhaust actually flow very well.If you could find a stock LS3 exhaust,it will 1 less resinator.

If you install the ZL1 pump,no tune is required.
But if you purchase a ZL1 fuel pump kit and the module kit that ADM Performance in Texas sells, then you would need to retune it.

You need a Fuel pump and injectors. You're to close to the edge. I'm running the ZL1 Pump, ADM FPCM and FIC 60ilb injectors and at 600hp. You have the setup for no headers or cam.

It may have gone into cat protection mode on the later runs, dumping more fuel causing the IDC to rise so much. Check if Cat OT protection is disabled in the tune.

Like others mentioned you need:
ZL1 pump
ADM FPCM
ID850 Injectors
OD Rear Cog Drive
Tune from Ted
You will be around 635RWHP

I agree with the above. You need more injector regardless of fuel pump, ZL1 fuel pump, ADM FPCM, 8 PSI and a retune. Magnaflow street catback with get the sound almost stock. I know because I have the GT-11 cam, Kooks 1 7/8 headers with high flow cats and a Magnaflow street catback.

His IDC could be high because he is on the stock fuel pump and his FP could be dropping to 20psi or something. He should still upgrade the injectors when he does the pump just to be safe but at his current power level he might be ok with just a pump upgrade or BAP.

Last time I was on the dyno the car made almost 600rwhp on the stock pump but the FP was 20psi. It had 100lb injectors though otherwise it would not have made it. The other two pumps were not working because the shop that installed the engine failed to hook the ground wires properly, smh.

I think he is only making the power he is because he is only at 4psi and they stopped the pull at 6K. If he were at 8psi and run it out to 6600 rpm I bet it would make ALOT more. I bet injectors, fuel pump, pulley and retune would be worth 100rwhp. A ADM race CAI w/ scoop or CAI inc with scoop could be worth a extra 20rwhp as well.

Tire wise you need a minimum of 275/40R20 Nitto NT555R for the stock wheels or get wider wheels and run a 305/35R20 or 315/35R20 drag radial.

500rwhp at only 4psi should make his goal of 550rwhp no problem with only 2-3 more psi. I bet he is losing FP even at 500rwhp and his 11.98 A/F.

Thanks, lots recommended me the LS3 factory Exhaust as the L99 one would strangle the car because it comes with a big rectangle resonator in the middle ..

I found one LS3 Factory Exhaust that was installed on a Camaro which had the gfx body kit, do you think it will fit my car ( with no gfx ) in them? Are they compatible?

I do a set of 850CC injectors, ZL1 pump, and a rotofab. Those things would likely add 30 rwhp easy.
