Wink My climate control is making a squeaking sound when it is set to Low.... HELP :(

I hear this tiny squeaking sound over and over when my climate control is set to low (1 notch before off). The squeak stops when I turn climate control off. I think I have a squeaky fan in my car. Is anyone else experiencing this and can the dealer fix it?

Mine does the same. Not loud enough to hear when I'm driving, but at idle you can hear it.

Mine does this as well. I was just at the dealer today getting my mud guards put on and asked about this. They told me that if it really is a bother, they can take apart the dash, locate the fan and put some lubricating spray on it. unfortunately they told me that it would not be covered under any warranty, so I would have to pay the 3 or so hours of shop time out of pocket.

I can live with it.

Blower fan needs replaced, pretty common issue, they replaced mine under warranty.

It's a known issue...bring it to the dealer and get the blower motor replaced under warranty. Mine is intermittent so I'm waiting for it to make the squeaking all the time and then I'll bring mine in to get replaced.

Unless you are out of warranty, that's total bullshit I've done some research. It's like a $60 part and only takes 1 hr tops to replace.. I hate when dealers do this sort of crap

+1

Had this same issue a few months ago. Absolutely is covered by warranty.

"well, we can rip out the dash and eff your car up real bad, barely put it back together, and probably forget a few fasteners, but we will spray something on there if it really bothers you that bad, ok?"

WHAT A JOKE some of these dealerships are. MAN.

Good to know. Is there a TSB on it that I can bring along next time?

And this was told to me by the guy installing my guards, I didn't bring it up with the head service tech so I may be getting false information anyways.

Mine didn't even make me show them the chirping noise, they just took my word for it and replaced it no questions asked.

that's some good service. "Hey mr. chevy dealership, you forgot my LS7 engine from the factory"
"We will get right on it"
Mine is intermittent right now and I only drive it once a month so the chances of mine squeaking when I have time to drop it by the dealer is slim to none. I hope they are as nice as your dealer.
