Burnout Fun

I don't really know where to post this but drag racing and burnouts go hand in hand so... Anyway ive driven plenty of manuals and i can do a regular burnout ie rev to 3-4k and dump the clutch with plenty of the loud pedal after. But i have seen guys with stock cars not doing a stationary burn out but burn a bit in first and then change to second and burn a bit further before taking off. To do this when you shift to second do you let off the gas like a normal shift or do you power shift? Also i havent tried it but will a stock car do a burnout starting in second.

Yes, do burnouts in second gear. Faster tire speed equals hotter tires.

I would say first gear is fine for street tires 2nd gear for radials or slicks
