My car will never be at a drag strip but with 650 hp, I'm worried about regular street traction. Are ther drags anybody would suggest or am I an idiot for not just getting new wheels and wider 315 nt-05r tires. I'm in love with my current wheels and don't wanna part with em.

The only drag radial that will "properly" fit on a 20x9 wheel is the Nitto NT555R (275/40R20). Not a bad choice either, especially for a car that does more street-duty than strip-duty!!! I'm not saying it will be able to "tame" your 650hp completely, but it will be much better than the stock tires!!!
