Even as it goes up, I still drive it like I stole it. All I have to do is drink one less Starbucks or Wawa a week and it makes up for the added cost at the pump. There isn't anything we can do about the price except embrace it. I do agree that it sucks and it is only going to go higher as we go towards summer.

I hate to say this, but prices are high because people chose to pay the prices. Speculators chose to pay $100+ per barrel because they think that they'll be able to sell it for more later. refineries pay $100+ per barrel because they can just pass the cost to the distributors. The distributors pay what they pay because they can pass the cost on to gas stations, and they pay what they pay because they can pass the price on to consumers. And consumers pay what they pay because they can afford to. Plain and simple. High gas prices suck. But they're only high because somebody is willing to pay that price. It may be too high for some people, but the majority of people still seem to be able to afford it!

or a sub-compact Fiesta. Seriously are we start this gas price thread crap again? The prices are what they are and they aren't going to come down for a lot of reasons anytime soon or if ever. If gas prices are the only thing that has you strapped for cash you probably should get a more economical car.

I think our biggest concern about gas should be the day we pull up to fill up and there isn't any. Then we have problems.
