I posted a link to this thread and the dealer on LSXTV on Facebook. I'll see about Jalopnik next.

this dealership is shady beyond I ever saw imaginable.

Billy Riggs: Hello, How may I help you?
Billy Riggs: t
You: hello
You: I have a question, do you have a moment?
Billy Riggs: yes go aheado
You: I was told your dealership has a damaged ZL1, but still looking to sell it. I was wondering what kind of value you are offering below the MSRP for the car.
You: hello?
Billy Riggs: 50 before repairs
You: Now, repairs are going to be made at the dealership's expense? So the dealership selling price will be $50K since the car will contain an R title?
Billy Riggs: The title will be the same as if it was new...it was never totalled
You: I see. Has any evaluation been done on the engine and drive train due to the accident? Additionally, to confirm, selling price "could" be $50K and dealership is covering repair costs?
Billy Riggs: no we would not be covering repair costs
Billy Riggs: drive train is ok
You: Can I ask why your dealership would not be covering the repair costs? The purchaser is not responsible for the actions of the dealership. Has a cost evaluation been done for the repairs?
Billy Riggs: yes they have and we are going to sell it for more once it is fixed
You: Do you mind me asking what the price of the repairs are? What the extent of the repairs are? I would like to do a price analysis for the comparison of before and after. To determine if it would be better to have the work done by your dealership, or have the work done by my dealership
Billy Riggs: it is right at 10k worth of damage
You: and if your dealership was to perform the work BEFORE purchase, what would your selling price increase to?
Billy Riggs: msrp
You: which for this exact model is?
You: i just wish to input that number into my comparision
Billy Riggs: Zl1 with all the options exect for stripe package its 59965
You: on the other side of this debate, if i have your dealership perform the repairs will this be recorded on the carfax for the VIN number because if i someday resell the car i don't want this blemishing the car's history for resale

Standard equipment - multidirectional suspension
Options - 3 flat wheels
Engine - installed in car, not able to run
Extra - bumper, wheels, airbag, side skirts and so on.....

Price - MSRP +10% of pre-brake in period completed

What are the odds that someone took the car for a ride, got it up to speed, hit a bump and went airborne, smashing the suspension when it came down? And perhaps the whole thing while the spacers were still in the springs.

Told you this dealership was shady.... when I was trying to get my Camaro when they first came out....they wanted to give the run around and they were charging 15K over MSRP and was not taking pre-orders...now I see why LOL
