Z28 Intake Installed on my 1LE

It came in this afternoon. Just installed it. Love the look and feel of the OEM part. Comes with a new MAF sensor too. Haven't had a chance to drive it yet, but sounds awesome.

You can order it from jegs.com or your dealer.

So far in sound only Adam. I live in MI so it's sunny all week, every week, but pours every weekend. I had a CAI sealed box on before, can't imagine much more gain than my CAI. But the OEM fit and finish and that sound is incredible

That looks good!

Has anyone ever thought of taking an air filter and directly bolting it onto the front, without the curved tubing in between? Would make for a more even look, but I'm not sure if there's enough space in front of the motor...?

Both DSE and varram( don't know exactly how to say their weird name) offer the straight forward option, not sure it's anything extraordinary though. I had both RotoFab and CAI. Nothing wrong with either of those. Just when the Z28 one became available, I figured I'd switch to oem. In my opinion, the factory designed and tested it for our cars, so why bother with other stuff anymore.

Finally had some time today so went to an auto parts store and bought a 90 degree elbow to clean up the install.

Just wanted to post an update in case others are looking to buy this too. First, yes, it's awesome, you won't regret it. Second, just so you know, it's a dry filter and the replacement filter is $139 at your local dealer. And yes, that's US dollars, not pesos, already asked that question myself. But honestly, drove it a couple times after the install and it is great.
