hurst install

I'm currently taking the old shorter out but seems like i have to remove the drive shaft bolts to let it drop or move to get my stock shifter out. I dropped the trans support but the shifter is still hitting the shaft. Is that what i have to do?

Hi there
You should have to remove your driveshaft
I did mine and all I did was remove the boot removed the clips then have some one move the shifter to the side so you can take the pin outnumber
It is real tight there and you need to be Careful make sure you have a swivel socket or there is a possibility you could strip it
It me a hr to install mine also do your self a favor and read the directions

Denny

Push the linkage that comes from the transmission to the side. The shifter should clear it with A LOT of space left over.

Oh by the way, I know that the hurst video says to drop the transmission support down an inch or so. I have no idea why they tell you to do this as it doesn't help one bit.
