Thats what I have been hearing...I've also heard that the 3" system
sounds much better than the 2 1/2"...It's a hard decision for me because
sound is very important..I think I would even give up a little HP for a better
sound.

I appreciate the response, and you are correct. I'm not looking to make any kind of power over 550. So I should tell my muffler guy to use 2.5" if possible?

This is also important for me, but it's not going to break my decision. Does anybody know how much difference in power loss it is between the 2.5" and 3" tubing?

Now you have me thinking...2.5" or 3"...if the power difference isn't that much, maybe 3" should do it?

I just installed the 3" love the deep tone that goes with it. Car now has a deep tone instead of a cracking sound. 3" is the only way to go man.

I hear ya, thanks. Would really like to hear your car now that it has an exaust. If possible if you could get a in car clip, outside "drive by"??? That would be killer. Thanks.

Do you have headers? if not, is it on the loud side or quite? The reason I
ask is some have said it might be too quite without headers.

Question for those that installed the Magnaflow...I think the instructions say to disconnect the battery. Did you guys disconnect the battery? Is it absolutely necessary? Will there by any repurcussions if you don't?

Basically the dude at the muffler shop told me he could x-pipe, magnaflows and use 3" pipes. But i'm wondering if I should just stick to the 2.5"?
You need some back pressure in the exhaust system and a stock camaro isn't tuned right for a 3" so I would say go with the 2.5"

Only electronic device you are touching with the exhaust is the O2 sensor. If the car is off then there shouldn't be an issue. It won't hurt you to disconnect it though.
