Dealer changed the clutch, totally different feel

Just got the car back from the dealer this morning. It was in because a slow oil leak from the rear main seal area had been getting oil on the clutch disk. This manifested itself as clutch chatter. However, upon picking up the car the clutch behavior was totally different. On the previous clutch once I passed the friction zone the pedal became very soft. This had an effect when coming up of pushing my foot up just as I hit the friction point. In the new setup the pedal does not have as much travel anymore, and is about 50% stiffer through the engagement zone. Additionally this resistance continues all the way to the stop. It takes more force than most modern clutches I've driven, more akin to a cable setup. I've attached a powerpoint diagram to try to illustrate.

I have not tried any other 2010's before. Question to the manual trans guys: How does this compare to your cars?

To tell the truth I prefer the new setup. It is harder to move and the beginning of the engagement zone is harder to feel. However, it doesn't "buck" me farther into the engagement zone than I want to go, and I seem to be able to move the clutch pedal faster and more accurately.

New almost seems like a VW/Audi feel....
They did put a new throwout bearing and bled the line correct?

How many miles have you put on it since picking it up? Mine has a totally different feel now with 5000 miles on it than when I first drove it home. It engages about half way up now compared to right at the top when brand new.

I've put about a hundred miles on it. Total milage on the car is 5300. I rarely take it very far, my work is only 5 min away.

Not sure about the TOB, will have to ask. Good point.
I'm fairly confident they bled the lines, otherwise it wouldn't be stiff.
