2001 B4C for sale - former Louisville KY unmarked car - new price

I have decided to sell my b4c so I can buy a gen 5 Camaro.

The car served as an unmarked unit in Louisville from 2000 to 2008. I have title history showing ownership, service and repair records from LMPD and have made contact with two officers from Louisville who have a history with the car.

There were 279 b4c cars produced in 2001, only 7 were painted med red (maroon) and it is believed my car was the only one of the seven produced with a cassette recorder. Very likely one of one Camaro!

I went thru the car when I bought it to insure it was sound and safe. I did paint the front bumper and hood and rear bumper due to stone chips and taps. We replaced virtually every gasket and seal (ie rear main seal, intake, exhaust, trans, pinion etc.) All service and repair work done at a Chevrolet dealer. It has been my summer driver for three years and has been to numerous shows and on the Hot Rod Power Tour. LMPD put 116,000 miles on the car. It now has 155,000 after my three summers of driving.

I have replaced the radiator, ac compressor, new z rated tires, replaced a cat and have had the rear differential rebuilt. I have spent $8000 on repairs and upgrades to the car. I feel very confident with driving it anywhere. The gentleman that painted the car at the Chevy dealer owns a totally restored 1967 Camaro. He took great care when painting my car and the color match is perfect. It comes with two sets of wheels, the original and a set of factory chrome wheels from GM.

There are some experts thinking that b4c cars are the copo cars of the future -value wise. It is a fun car, Police Camaros come with
1LE control arms - it handles great - gets 26 mpg at 70mph. Everything works - ice cold ac etc. Not driven in winter by me and looking at the undercarriage makes me think it was not driven ever in the winter - super clean.

The vehicle has an automatic trans. The Louisville Police Badge on the door is mounted on static cling material. It can be put on and taken off when showing the car.

NEW PRICE - Selling for $8,400 obo with both sets of wheels - $7,900 obo with original wheels only.

There were 6 speed B4C's - I have owned 3 b4c's - my 2002 was a six speed. I am doing this from memory, might be off by a few:

1999 - 12 units
2000 - 9 units
2001 - 9 units
2002 - 125 units

Per the Camaro White Book, here is the breakdown of manuals vs. autos from '97-'02. I can't find any numbers prior to '97. If anyone has any ideas on where to find them, please let me know, trying to find out how many manuals were produced in '93.

'97 - 242 9
'98 - 227 12
'99 - 184 12
'00 - 221 9
'01 - 279 9
'02 - 577 125

I'm guessing the numbers in '02 were so high because everyone knew this was the last year of production for a while.

The reason for all the manual trans cars in 2002 is as follows. There was a vendor, GMMG who did a bunch of special edition cars, I.e. Hot Rod Magazine, Berger, ZL1 427, Tom Henry Racing, Dale Earnhardt Specials where they used B4C cars as the starting point.

Google GMMG to learn more about these special vehicles. Also if you google B4C production numbers, you will see a bunch of articles that has older production numbers.

Forgot about some of those specialty cars. I've been scouring the 'net trying to find the breakdown of manuals vs. autos prior to '97 but keep coming up empty.
