For those bashing auto owners. Bring that sh!t talking to the track and watch your ego shrink with my taillights. I bought this car with every intention to mod it pretty extensively. Some of us like me can drive a manual just as well as the next person but we chose to be fast and not care about what you haters think. Mod for mod when you add a higher stall converter, the auto will always be faster in the 1/4 no matter who's driving the stick car.

I wonder why nascar does not run autos in there highly moded race cars. You must know more than them.

This is got to be one of the dumbest post ever. I clearly stated 1/4. In the 1/4 the auto is king. I wonder why all the heavily modded FAST drag cars use a auto. Hmmmm, must be a coicedence huh. There is a reason so many stick cars have done a TH400 or 4L80E swap to go faster in the 1/4.

I'll run you with my stick in the quarter mile. Been driving a stick for thirty years and prefer it.

+1 especially if you plan on doing more than drag only. Road racing and auto cross prefers manuals.

If you have the same mods as me, only difference being a manual, bring it on. SS of course not the GT500.

I agree with you 100% for road racing, circle track and auto cross but 1/4 mile and stop light to stop light racing belongs to the auto. I wonder how many 5th gen Camaro's have ever been on a road course vs a drag strip vs a stop light race. I'm sure its a pretty staggering difference in numbers.

I'm sorry but quit hanging with people that cant drive.
an M6 is just as fast with someone that can drive is as any joe smoe in an auto.
especially on the street.

Wife's SS is the L99 A6 with some mods pushing 430 flywheel HP. She does not know how to drive a stick. The closest she will get to a stick possibly is paddle shifters.

The Shelby is pushing 675 at the flywheel. I was going to run you with the Shelby since you did not specify the car I would still run you with similar horsepower, torque and weight on an LS3 if I had one.

I'm sorry but this simply just is not true when a auto has a properly built and speced out torque converter for his application. I see you have parts from Lethal, how about you call them up and ask why they put a auto in their shop car and then ask how much did the auto drop their ET. From what I remeber the only change came from the trans as well.

again.. SKILL.
there are plenty of very fast people out there still using manuals.
an auto is MUCH easier to drive and drive consistently.
But that doesn't mean that it is the be all end all.

I personally will NEVER drive a automatic again in any muscle/sports car.
I made that mistake 1 time and was bored to tears till I sold it.
