People have, only hard part is that you have to order the plasti-dip online, Home Depot only sells the black in a rattle can.

I looked at some wheels with the white and I'm not a fan. Also think it would be hard to keep it looking good with brake dust.

I like the look of the satin black, but with the white stripes I would have stayed polished

I'm not changing my stripes, I like my creamcycle.but it does make exterior mods challenging. I don't have my windows tinted, which is next, so maybe that will help balance it a bit....
What happens when you change tires...will it show marks around the rim?

I might change it to the smoke when the tires come off in the fall, but so far, people seeing it in person love how they look, even with the white stripes....

2 1/2. I looked at them today out of the sun and can see some spots along the edge that could have used a bit more, but I don't think anyone would notice.

I don't think so....the nice thing about the product is that if they rub or get marked up, you can do it again. Total cost was $40 which included 3 packs of cards and extra rags.

I took my rims off half a dozen times with mine and never had any problems. No marks or messed up dip. You have to be careful each time though and when you finish dipping them, make surr you let them dry and cure for a few hours before you reinstall them.

From my Note

You did a great job. I've also seen the dip used on the bow ties. I'd love to play with Plasti Dip but I'm chicken to try due to messing up. I ordered bow tie blackouts and gill decals online for 140 dollars. ( two sets in fear of messing up) the cards were a great idea also. Nice to change your look once in a while. The beauty is that you can change back at any time!
