Black Chrome?

Can the OEM wheels be plated in a black chrome finish? Has anyone ever done this?

I love the look.

Thanks,

Jason

I would also like to know. Cheaper that way rather than buying new wheels.

My summer CTS-V wheels are bright permachromed not black but you can still get them here in Michigan where I got mine ... really makes the car pop.

I got the wheels on one of my bikes done in black chrome. They were done by Classic Components in California. BTW, it's not cheaper to have done than some aftermarket car wheels, and you have to be picky about who you let chrome your things. They can make things worse, and they really only get one shot. You can't chrome plate aluminum wheels a bunch of times. Each time they go through the process they get a little weaker.

I was gonna have my Camaro wheels done, but the shipping cost there and back killed the deal for me, the Camaro wheels are heavy. There's only one or two places I trust to do chrome for me. Also, be prepared to be without the wheels for at least 3 weeks but I've had things take as long as 3 months before in the wintertime.

HvyChvy!!! That song came on the radio as I was driving my Camaro home from the dealer! How appropriate. Yeah that slammed look is badass! Nice ride. Since I can't find any aftermarkets I like better than stock, I'm probably going to go with black chrome also.

Here's mine. In the sunlight, it only looks slightly darker than regular chrome.

Where did you get that done and how much did they charge?

It looks great!

I found these guys, oddly enough local. Anyone buy from them yet? How was the experience?
