Oh my, at that price I'm sitting on about $22,000 in ammo just for the Barrett I'm still waiting to be delivered any day now.
Raufoss round runs about $14 a round and always grinnin when shooting em 1000 rounds per minute.

I am leaning towards 2 mount point system, but there are so many possibilities, little overwhelming.

AR
Viking Tactics 2 point. None better and standard issue to all Army SOF.

Otherwise I just do not break out my 50 and use a 300 win mag. My next purchase is a 6.5 because of it distance/accuracy.

If you are not worried about consistency/accuracy then buy belt fed or delinked 50 for cheap - maybe $2-4 a round but realize the grain is intentionally not the same in each round thus your grouping is not going to be good - not because of the shooter but the bullets are intentionally made to NOT him the target in the same place.

Also not with a Barrett 50 - at only 1,300 yards last weekend I could only get a 24 inch grouping because the Barrett is not extremely accurate. BUT with a McMillan Tac 50 within minutes of shooting the Barrett prone I shot my McMillan prone and same windage calls and had only a 16 inch grouping - huge difference from hitting and missing your target (this is with dealing with some consistent wind).

I don't usually go bargain hunting for ammo I don't have a rifle for. Biggest I have takes M2 ball.

But thanks for the clarification

I purchased the Lake City M33 ball and the M8 API for shots of 1000 yards and less. I have Hornady A-Max for shots 1000 yards and up.

Good info to know since I would have been wondering what was going on and most likely thought it was me or the rifle.

Which Barrett did you shoot?

I don't plan on shooting competition, I ordered a Barrett because (1. I wanted one (2. Had the money for it (3. Didn't have to wait an insane amount of time to get it.

Would I like a McMillan rifle? Yes of course, and I will eventually have one too! It will be lovingly placed right next to the Barrett in the safe.

IH8OPEC - smart move on ammo less than 1k and the Hornady A-MAX is an excellent load.

The Barrett was the 82A1

I've never fired the 82A1 but I sure hope the rumors of the M95 being more accurate are true.

I did get a call From Vicky at Barrett today to let me know that my M95 shipped out today and that I should have it no later than Thursday this week! The problem is I'm supposed to go to Detroit Tuesday night for a bi-weekly meeting and I won't be back until Friday! I think I feel a bug coming on, "cough" "cough"

I'll post pics as soon as I get my mitts on it.

Haahaa, you have waited this long for the Barrett - get the job done then enjoy! The M95 is the lighter version - you will enjoy it being 6 lbs lighter then the 82A1.

I want to check out an XDS sometime.

Any help here? Older Mossberg 835, weird camo scheme, apparently factory. Has a choke on it.
Worth $250?
