Good news and Bad news From the bodyshop

I took my car back to the bodyshop last week because i had them stripe the car back in april of 2009. The paint on the hood trunk lid and spoiler started to bubble or solvent pop. Seeing as the hood had to be repainted anyways i opted to have the bumper cover (front fascia) striped as well, and add the heritage grille. i go to the bodyshop today to install a windshield , and i notice right away that the car appears dull i ask the shop owner what the deal was and he says to me the car is just dirty we will detail it before you take it. I show up this afternoon to pick it up, and they are just finishing the "detail", but guess what its not shiny!!!!! Primer overspay over the whole car. on top of that to me the grille doenst seem to be the right color.. Im pissed. the car is now back at the shop for god knows how long as they say they will remove the overspray. good news is no more bubbles bad news is overspray everywhere and the wrong color grille.

does the grille look like its the wrong color to you guys?

Wow sorry to hear that. Hopefully the overspray rubs out.

And yes, the grille is definitely a different color...

Yeah, it's not real bad, but it does look like a slightly lighter tint than the rest of the car.

Good Luck!!!

Difficult to say. The color does seem to be slightly different. But really, I may think this because you say it is different. I don't think I would have thought a thing about if you hadn't said something. In person any difference would be much more apparent.

damn that sucks, the grill looks a little bit off, just a little. Looks good in the pic though. But if the grill bnothers you, get it fixed too. Hopefully shell look as good as new if not better after the shop is done with her.
Actually, the grill looks quite a bit brighter

Looks off some, but like some else said, I may not of noticed it until I was told.

Hope it all works out for you too.

Is the NEW grill made out of the same material as the front end?

Different materials will cause the same paint to look off color just a tad.

I had to come to terms with the Summit White difference from the color on the fenders and hood to the gfx.
It's so small that you don't notice unless you stare at it for long periods of time......

I've had the same problem with mine. When the car went in for the ground effects installation they must of been clearcoating a car near it. My entire car was covered with clear overspray. The sun shining thru the windshield made it impossible to see. What is wrong with people????

Hard to match or not, you should get what you pay for.
It's hard to make payments, too, but we do...

Looks fine to me. Maybe I just don't have a good eye, but if you never said anything I'd never notice. Even with you mentioning it, it seems like just different angles and is hard to tell. I guess I can see it being different. Kinda. I guess. Maybe. Possibly.

Just hope it doesn't fade differently. I;m pretty sure they don't fade but just sayin'.

Different light, or seeing it in person could make it better or worse.

Grille color

Sometimes the angle of the lighting can make colors appear different shades. Sorry, but I don't think that is your situation. The color is off. Your stripes however are IMO the most well proportioned I think I have seen. Nice job!!
