How accurate do you need them to be?

The only calibrations on them are the low, mid, and high range of what your car is doing. You can tell if the engine is getting good oil pressure, the transmission temp, engine oil temp, and volts. It's useful for everyday driving, but if you're trying to determine the exact voltage draw, maybe not...

I guess reliable would be a better word than accurate ....... I just want to make sure the gauges I get I can rely on, I'm comming from a fully modded diesel with gauges for everything and the factory gauges were unreliable

Agreed!

They give enough feedback to let you know what is going on. IMO they fit with the car too and don't stick out like a sore thumb but I always get the "wow" factor from people who come into the car

The OEM are plug and play as long as you get the right cluster. There are three different 4 gauge clusters so be sure you get the correct one for your Camaro or it won't work at all. (And beware of great deals on ebay because it might not be the right one!)

Here are the correct part #'s for the gauge clusters:

Automatic V6 or V8 - 92247189
Manual V6 - 92247187
Manual V8 - 92247188

You will definitely be happier with the OEM gauges in my opinion. It is the retro look but to each there own. Mine are acurate but came with my 2LT installed and love the look.
