I am pretty confident in saying if you have a late 12 build or later year Convertible you have nothing to stress over. I tried to not let others problems stress me put over mine but just learn how to deal with my own issues based on what others have gone through. So far it is working. Two weeks ago I had my top and frame replaced. As soon as they get it properly adjusted to go low enough in the well I will be happy. It fits much better than the old top. Not that I was experiencing rub marks or wear with the other top. My problem seemed to be less serious, but they wanted to replace everything now to avoid issues later.

Before this, I had a 2011 2SS/RS Vert that the top was replaced early on when the orignal rubbing marks were talked about. After the top was replaced by my dealer who went out of thier way to bring in one of the GM top designers to help them, (so I know all about the original top issues), I put another 20,000 miles on the 2011 with no more top issues.

The only reason I got rid of the 2011, was to upgrade to the new ZL1 vert.
Okay thank you! Puts my mind at ease

If anyone has an older 2013 camaro can you please let me know how the new top and frame is working?
I have a very early build 2011 mine was in the first 2 weeks of production. I had some early rub and wear marks that the GM TSB resolved. Then I had a fifth bow break around 20,000 miles. That was replaced and broke again within a month of normal use. They replaced it again and some bracket that was not done on the first one and its been fine for 7 months now. I still have my original frame and canvas and I have never had a leak or excessive wind noise. I do treat the top with 303 and mine is stored winters and garage kept when not being driven. It is a DD in the summer rain or shine. I have 31,000 miles now and I am not worried about the top. I would just keep up your cleaning and normal maintenance and drive and enjoy the car.

KEVINW, I have 13 2LT RS conv, second one had an 11 prior. As most, I had some problems with the 11 but was corrected then I got the 13. Conv are not near as quiet as coupes but we know that when buying one. My grandson rides in it all the time in the back and on ocassions I'll have two in the back when cruising the beaches. Not alot of room for two people on any rides of distance. Main thing is to enjoy. I like it so I'll give it a 10.

10. No doubt. Even with installing/removing the stupid tonneau cover the way it is designed. When driving it, it feels nimbler than its actual girth.

Power, looks, not one issue so far. Bought it, hopped in it, drove it home 950 flawless miles, nothing but stares and people gawking and taking pics of it. I recently got it broken in and hopped on the throttle. Car had the nannies on and it STILL fish tailed a little. The car has earned it's unofficial "beast" title.

I wanted a ZL1 convertible, and now I have one. My car-life is now complete.

On a scale of 1-10 I'd give mine an 11.
I like everything about my car. The way it rides, handles and sounds not to mention the way it looks. Of course it's not stock, that's why I like it so much.

8 - considering its a 44K car, I love it more after spending a few more bills on mods. After another 4 K in mods, I will have what I want in the 6 banger.

I'm giving it an 8 because of my service dealer and issues I've had with their competency. My current roof replacement is going to bring it to a 7 by the end of this year.

If the roof issues are (and remain) resolved, I will be at a 9. It IS a beautiful American car, after all.
