The ones I originally bought were the wrong size so I just painted the oem ones black. However I did figure out the size the other day so I can replace them with lighter Al ones haha. They are M6x1x50 |

I'm in the market for a 5th generation camaro 2010-2013 only. Can you give me some advice on what to expect and watch out for. I'm looking at a LT1 RS model. Some people tell me to go ss because of suspension, brakes and ss sound which I love the sound of a old v8 67 camaro. Any advice or comments

2010 & 11 have LLT engines; 2013 has LFX. Lots of differences in those. Timing chains are a worry in the LLT along with oil loss & leak issues. I love my LLT but If I were trying to replace it I'd sure want to know the previous owner. Be sure they were running an oil catch can, doing frequent oil changes, running full synthetic oil, etc. I'd personally want to know if they broke it in by the book or drove it hard to seat those rings properly. I'd be looking pretty closely at the paint too as it is soft & scratches if you breath on it too hard & chips badly. If they ran it through car washes or drove it on rough roads it probably needs touch up or even a paint job. Now if you find one from a former C5 owner who has taken good care of it.....Gold! That is just off the top of my head. I'm sure others will chime in.

The V6 Lounge
if you get a Manuel 2010-2011, check for 2nd gear grind. Not sure if the same issues are with the 2012-2013.
Edit: also, if you are even thinking about a v8, just get the v8. Especially if you are looking for 2010-2013. You can find great deals. Around 20-25k for the v8. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on my car , I recently had BBK Longtubes .highflow cats .BBk Xpipes and 4 mufflers 2@ 28 inch and @ 17 inch (powersticks from chambered exhaust (all custom made by hand and sound great) . This setup sounds tremendous , I have never heard a V6 sound so deep . Problem is on cold startup It actually rattles my windows in my house and I suspect my neighbours also on cold startups . Once it kicks off to low idle it is fine and quiets down to a acceptable level . They havnt said anything but I don't want problems either peace is a good thing . Any suggestions on how to quite it down a bit ? If I go over 2000rpms the car just screams , UI like it but if it could be toned down a tad it might be a good thing .

Magnaflow Resonated X pipe is similar to a muffler. It has baffles to quite down the sound. Most people get it to lower the overall sound of the car and to reduce rasp.
On the other hand, an X pipe is just pipe. It does not have anything to lower the sound. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |
