I have a 2010 camaro ss L99 with a 2.9 whipple pumpin 11psi boost, 38,000 miles, slicks & skinnies, just under 400 races and its still runs like a champ. I did however manage to break a set of richmond 4.10 gears and now im back to the stock set of 3.27's. I will be putting in an LSX376 next year and running the boost to 18psi. I know it will handle it!

I swapped the head bolts out for head studs and a thinner gasket. I thought about more boost, but for now my LPE twin pump system is about maxed out. Squash system should be in soon.

I'm having one built. Swapped out to a bigger cam and went with head studs. Then gonna back it with a triple carbon Street Slayer. Install my Whipple on top top and enjoy.

This old school guy builder ALWAYS used the extra clamping force of head studs when building a blown or laughing gas motor. With good gaskets, you should never have any issues with them blowing on you. I was also fond of main cap studs.

Damn all these years and the car still runs great and strong. Only issue I've had is I can't seem to keep a power steering pump to Last more than a year and the IW balancer doesn't line up with the AC pulley so no AC in the summer time.

Hey on your AC belt I had the same problem sent the balancer back to IW several times with no luck. Talked to Joe at left coast 32 and he told me just put a size shorter belt on and problem solved!
