Thumbs up High flow Cat question

Can I just install high flow cats with my stock exhaust manifolds and not have to tune the car? I am not ready to give up my warranty just yet and thought the high flow cats might help a little.

Yes.

See my sig? All of that and no tune. Would there be a benefit from tuning? Absolutely. Required or unsafe without? No.

Did you notice any gains? Does the car sound better? Got a link where you bought them?

Thanks!

www.solo-performance.com or pm goingsolo2 (Steve) on here.

Definite gains and yep sound inprovement was a huge plus. They come with O2 extenders which are a must for the no tune guys.

Heads up though. If you plan on doing headers any time in the near future, you might want to wait on highflow cats of any kind.

I had mine on for almost a year and haven't gotten a cel! They do not need a tune and they really give the car a good boost in power! The factory cats is where all the restriction lies in the exhaust system! I just installed LT's so I removed the Solo cats. I'm selling them if you're interested!

You will be fine without a tune on the high flow cats. I'd go with the Solo's as well. Seems like most of the guys running them have been very satisfied, we haven't had any complaints on them either.
