Factory 21" Wheels

Does anyone know what the 21" polished wheel option looks like for the 09 Camaro? I have ordered a RS/SS but I did not want the painted wheels however the only option is the 21" wheel that is dealer installed but nobody seems to know what they look like.

That painted one looks pretty nice; almost like a black chrome

Lots of people are waiting for GM to fix the order entry system so you can order an SS/RS with the optional polished 20" wheels (which get installed at the factory and not by the dealer). Anybody who has already ordered an SS/RS and wants this needs to have their dealer update their order as soon as GM changes the order entry system to allow this.

The 21s are just way too much money (like rolnslo said) and the polished 20s look great anyway.

but we also don't know yet what credit we'll get for the stock wheels. So the total additional may only be a couple hundred dollars. Also, I'm hoping that at SEMA we'll get some real good photos of the 21s cause the ones we have right now are not great

Wow, I'm really disappointed in the look of those. I much prefer the simple 5 spoke design.

You are extremely optimistic about the amount of credit you'll receive for switching the 20's for the 21's.

Think about these prices:

21" wheel pkg 1: $4680
21" wheel pkg 2: $4865

Optional RS pkg (includes 20" wheels, among other things)
1LT: $1720
2LT: $1450

19" wheel upgrade:
1LT: $720
2LT: $470

20" Polished Alum wheels: $470.

You are probably going to get less than $500 credit for your 20" wheels when you buy the 21" package.

Anyone have any idea the difference in performance between the 20 and 21 inch rims?

I'm going to Autocross this thing and if the 21's aren't going to stand up well. I"ll stick with the 20's from the RS package.

Cool expensive wheels

I just ordered this week and the difference in wheels 20 opposed to 21 is not going to be a hard decision if they don't keep the same stye as the concept I would rather spend 4g's on dealer up grades

I'm sure that price already includes credit for the stock wheels, just like the 20" polished wheel price of $470 includes it. If you have haven't priced 21" wheels and tires lately, $4800 is a deal. Last ones I looked at were $1300 each for wheels and the tires were about $450 each.
