Clutch issues with 2012 Manual 6 speed?

Hey guys,
This is my first post and I would like to start by saying "Thank you". You all have been very informative in your threads and I have enjoyed being a first time Camaro owner since late May of this year.
My question is: Has anyone experienced a spongy feeling to your clutch which came on pretty suddenly?
My locall dealer has been great, they got GM to authorize a master clutch cylinder replacement and when that didn't do the trick they got authorization for a new clutch assembly kit. The clutch now feel tighter, but going from first into second seems hard? Has anyone had these or similar issues?

Thanks,
R

Sounds like the clutch needs to be bled a bit more, may be dragging a bit due to air still in the system causing the stiff shift. Is it also hard to go from neutral to first when stopped?

Theses cars share a master cylinder for the brakes and clutch. When you play hard the fluid will heat up and cause the sponginess, or sometimes make the pedal stick on the floor. There is a DIY on here for a kit that will add a separate clutch reservoir to prevent this.
