That jump in sales like that could mean a large rental car company just bought a ton of cars for their fleet. Look at how many camqaro's avis had. I know enterprise had alot of the mustangs at one point!

i think the fact that the mustang showed to outsell the camaro the month of may,...may be a mistake,if you look back at may all the way to the left on the graph and also look at may all the way to the right,it shows the "exact" number of sell's,i find it hard to believe mustangs sold in each of may figures are the exact same number....?

You have to remember that Ford dealers are having fire sales on 2010 Mustangs to make room for 2011 Mustangs, so a sales increase was expected. Camaro is probably generating more profit for GM than Mustang is for Ford due to the lack of incentives on Camaro.

I must have got one of the last group made for 2010. it was a good run but the new mustang was bound to increase sales. lets wait a few more months and see how it all plays out. anyway the camaro will always be better than the mustang in my mind.

I've been waiting for this data.

I honestly thought this would happen. The new 5.0 led to increased sales. Also, you can get a good deal on a 2010 Mustang now to make way for the 2011's.

Took the words right out of my mouth, I saw tons of Ford dealers with crazy sales on 2010 Mustangs. This is most likely why. IMO

Mustang almost EXACTLY doubled their sales...something smells fishy...if you wanted to buy a Stang, wouldn't you wait for the 5.0? This probably includes 2011 orders, and the fire sale for the 2010s on the lot. But to DOUBLE sales in one month? Hmmm. Pretty impressive though. Wonder if a lot of those are 2011's ordered for Hertz...

The numbers are high because the 2010's are being given away. My brothers a ford fan and has been looking at mustangs a lot recently. The dealers around him have no haggle internet prices that are over $8k off the MSRP. That's a huge savings. So I'm not surprised. Not to mention there's still no Camaro Convertible. We can give them one out of twelve.

Every one is saying it's do to the 5.0l. Does these #'s include 2011s. If so I would have to agree. If not I would have to say it's because their're giving the 2010s away.
