I don't think they are trying to be rude they just trying to help you out so you can sell it as quickly as possible. Have you tryed seeing how they will dofor trade in? Maybe that will be your best bet. Just think it's going to be hard getting what your asking for it and I'm not trying to be rude. Cause I know California is expensive but the Dealer I bought mine at has same car with 4 miles on it and after knocking off $4,500 they are selling it for $26,000. Of course it don't have the up gradesyou said you had put on. But good luck and I hope you didn't think I was being Rude and if your offended I'm sorry.

Technically once it's titled, it's not new. You might have luck selling at a car show or auto swap like the one in Pomona

He's selling this to get a V8, if memory serves me correctly... See if your dealer can/will do anything for you... Wish I could've afford the V8, but V6 will have to do(for now).. |

Now he just wants a manual or at least thats what he said in his i will trade you my auto for your manual attempt at a post. i don't think he knows what he wants ultimately or he wouldn't be in this situation. A while back he posted he wanted a V8 that the 6 wasn't enough, then he mentioned turbo charging his V6, now its a manual. Its all getting a little rediculous.

Just tell me why someone would want to buy a used car over a brand new car...especially when you want more for it?
27ish + tax < 30ish + tax They have to pay tax when you sell it to them, so they're going to be paying more for your car. Also, with those mods they should know that in those 2600 miles you "tested" the car a lot. The only selling point you have is people will get the car instantly, but good luck selling them on that. No one is being "rude", they're trying to snap you back to the real world. |

CA dealers are marking up big time so the SS was probably out of Derrin's reach at the time so he settled for the 1LT thinking the 304 was going to be enough...as it is for most people. Apparently, Derrin has buddies that are rolling around in 1SS and 2SS and in SoCal, young uns tend to worry much about their status symbol. Derrin has been trying to sell his car for almost 2 months now. At least he has come down from the $38k he was originally asking. But it is always tough to sell a USED car that has been personally customized and asking new-car price for it. Even at $30k, that is a lot of $$ and likely only responsible adults will be able to afford but adults also tend to shy away from "Fast and the Furious" type sellers. And if a kid who has parent willing to spend $30k for their kid's car, those parents are likely to get a NEW V6 Camaro for that price instead. You might be better off offering the car without the extras you put on and sell those on Ebay or CL and get some of your money back that way. Forget the idea of getting all your money back and then some. Also, correct me if I am mistaken but if you bought ALL the options, wouldn't that make it a 2LT? You can't say it has ALL OPTIONS then say No RS. People that are interested will ask you ? about the car and if you said All Options and then you say "oh except this or that", that will ruin your credibility in an instant and you will lose them. Good luck and don't settle. If you want an SS, like you said in your many posts, get a SS, not a manual V6. |

Well if anyone is going to buy this car now is the time. Probably won't get anyone on here to buy it now, but with the demand for this car, you should be able to get rid of it on craigslist easily.
Good luck.

were is the logic behind spending over 30 k for a v6? i f i were you i would just continue to mod it out, put sc or turbo on it and hit the strip.

Good luck posting that sale here at that price. I think most people on this site know what your car is worth even with the extras.
I would advertise it locally and maybe find someone who is less informed. I wish you the best with your sale. |
